Priviti videoclipul si ascultati-l cu atentie:

Va trebui sa scrieti un numar de la 1 la 4 in fiecare patrat din poza, corespunzator cu ordinea in care le auziti.

Expresiile "there is = exista, se gaseste, se afla, este" si "there are = exista, se gasesc, se afla, sunt", sunt foarte cunoscute si utilizate in limba engleza

Folosim "there is" alături de un substantiv numărabil la singular și de toate substantivele nenumărabile.

Folosim "there are" alături de substantivele numărabile la plural.

Exemple

there is
- positive:
"There is an egg."

- negative:
"There isn’t (is not) time."

- question:
"Is there milk?"

there are
- positive:
"There are zero eggs."

- negative:
"There aren’t (are not) hundreds of people."

- question
"Are there three chairs?"

Si acum, sa vedem ce inseamna propozitiile din videoclip:

There's a clock = Exista un ceas;

There's a bookcase = Exista (se gaseste, se afla) o biblioteca;

There are some pencils = Sunt niste creioane;

There are some rulers = Sunt (exista, se gasesc) niste liniare.

Repetati propozitiile, pentru a va insusi pronuntia. Iata traducerea:

There is a cupboard / There's a cupboard = Exista un dulap;

There are some chairs = Sunt niste scaune.
